Violeta Bulc
Violeta Bulc is the founder and curator of the Ecocivilisation movement. This inspiring and open-minded person is former European Commissioner and former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia. However, her devotion to problem solving in a collaborative and innovative way is well rutted in her rich experiences as many times awarded entrepreneur and innovator.
The essence of Violeta’s future-oriented work is directed at regenerative and circular societal innovation, supporting the emergence of glocalization based structures. For all the positive impacts of her actions and demonstrated values, she received in 2022 an honoree doctoral degree of philosophy.
In March 2020, she has started the Ecocivilisation movement that was named among top 100 projects for the future of the world by the Women Economic Forum and the largest female entrepreneurial network in the world, becoming one of the G100 Global Chairs. Violeta Bulc is convinced that a new civilisation is around the corner. She is inviting us all that we re-invent ourselves and co-create the future we want to live in together in a collaborative and inclusive way. To be in balance with the Planet, the Universe, with ourselves and our fellow humans.

Gabriella Marcelja is the Ecocivilisation Wing of Austria, CEO at SG Impact Ventures AG in Switzerland, President at Sirius Global – Academic Diplomacy 4.0 based in Italy and Director at Startup Grind in Croatia. She is entrepreneur, educator and impact innovator active in the fields of management, research and advisory on innovation & technology, crisis management, conflict analysis, international law, sustainable development and growth.
As a lecturer and moderator at international economic & legal forums, she is often being invited to be a speaker on law and new disruptive technologies, sustainable development and science diplomacy. She worked within 3 diplomatic missions and with the United Nations Agencies, she was covering also digital and cybersecurity matters in a multinational management consulting firm.
As the Startup Grind director in Croatia Gabriella is eager to co-create a community of innovators leading and building the future of tomorrow, while as the SIRIUS GLOBAL president, the leading international NGO based in Rome in Italy, she operates in the sector of education, culture, science and innovation.

Sonja Klopčič
Sonja Klopčič, the Ecocivilisation wing of Slovenia, started her career as an engineer, but was very soon moved to managerial positions. As the CEO, chair of the board and crisis manager she has gained valuable experience in a variety of organizations at different stages of their life cycles. With her knowledge, experience and exploring of new paths, she is now an independent developer of AEIOU leadership, a mentor and coach to executives, a lecturer and the author of The Energy Inside Leadership and AEIOU of Leadership. She was the leader of a project to set-up the mentor’s network for female managers in Slovenia, she created a partnership network for World of Synergy Conference and she is the initiator of the AEIOU of Leadership community. Among many awards she also received the golden award for the organizational and social innovation – model AEIOU of Leadership, the title Ambassador of Knowledge and the recognitions Iconic Woman Creating a Better World for All and Exceptional Woman of Excellence.

Donna Nelham
Donna Nelham helps individuals and organizations across sectors reframe their ‘why,’ tackle the tough problems and thrive on new, regenerative ways of working. When it’s time to craft a new story, rethink strategy and reach out collaboratively, her 30 years of experience is a shared resource to illuminate the way!
Donna wears a few hats with her primary role as co-founder at Unstitution — where they are building binding coalitions across business, government and civil society, tackling systemic societal problems that are falling between the cracks. They help people get unstuck, cultivate coherent agency and work together toward targeted, regenerative, mission-critical outcomes.
Donna Nelham is also Chief Strategy Officer at Fractal Workspace, which is all about co-creative placemaking, shaping a vibrant live-work-play community in a smaller Canadian city. Donna is also a Global Pollinator for Omnirama, a new open community platform reimagining work, life and the built environment — towards more holistic and life-affirming patterns.

Anne-Catherine Berner
Born in Helsinki to a Swiss family, at the beginning of her business career with family company Vallila, Anne-Catherine Berner has traveled 70,000 kilometers a year to sell fabrics to architects. She became chair of the company in 2012 and during her time as CEO, Vallila grew in size from about 10 people to more than 140 employees in 2014.
In addition to her family-based business, Anne-Catherine Berner has done a long career as a board professional on several publicly listed Finnish and international companies, such as Soprano plc, Kährs Holding AB and the mutual pension insurance company Ilmarinen. Berner’s organizational career include chairing the Finnish Family Firms Association, the Association for Finnish Work as chairwoman and the European Family Businesses as member of the board.
Participated as a venture capitalist on Finland’s and Sweden’s versions of the television show Dragons’ Den, in 2006 Anne-Catherine Berner received the Prix Veuve Clicquot, as the Finnish businesswoman of the year and in 2014 she was given the order of Commander of the Order of the Lion of Finland by the President of the Republic. Anne-Catherine Berner was appointed to the board of directors of SEB, Sweden-headquartered financial group in 2019 and in 2020 Member of the board at CVVC in Zug, Switzerland.
In her political career, Anne-Catherine Berner was elected into the Finnish Parliament in 2015 for the Centre Party of Finland. From 2015 to 2019, she was Minister of Transport and Communication of Finland, her also duties included acting as the minister for Nordic Cooperation and the minister for Åland Island affairs.

Jean Todt
Guest of the second Ecocivlisation podcast in 2022 is Mr. Jean Todt, a person admired by his “savoir faire” – a man of skill and grace! He is the United Nation’s Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road safety, dedicating his life to improve the road safety condition and to save lives all over the world, motivating the best sport people to support him in his efforts for a safer mobility.He is well known as a French motor racing executive and former rally co-driver. He was previously Peugeot Talbot Sport’s Director and then Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team principal, before being appointed CEO of Ferrari from 2004 to 2008. From 2009 to 2021, he served as the ninth president of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
Mr. Todt is also a founding member and Vice-President of the Brain Institute, board member of the International Peace Institute, Member of the International Olympic Committee’s Commission for Public Affairs and Social and since 2018 a Board Member of the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens. Since 2021 Mr. Jean Todt is also the member of the G100 Denim Club representing the Ecocivilisation #G100 Wing!

Nataša Heror
As the director of the media agency Heror Media Pont, Nataša is engaged in improving the work of media in the languages of minorities. In 2012 she established the Regional Conference devoted to media in minority languages and since 2017, this event has grown to an European level. By education, Nataša Heror is a professor of philosophy and with her personal interests about gender issues, human & minority rights, security and with all her 15+ years of professional experience in sales, marketing, advertising, PR and events, she has a special sensibility to develop socially responsible brands which are capable to develop the society. Nataša also lives and works in Novi Sad that in 2022 holds the title of European Capital of Culture. Novi Sad it is among the first cities outside the European Union to be declared the European Capital of Culture and thus became one of the 60 cities that took this title, fostering the richness of diversity and interculturalism.

Simran Kaur is a recent law graduate from the University Institute of Legal Studies Panjab University, Chandigarh, India, who worked remotely as a voluntary Research Assistant for Ecocivilization from August to October this year.
She worked on the research project titled “Ban on Plastics and Scope of Circular Economy in India”. She was assigned with the task of producing a Policy Working Paper on exploring and explaining the inadvertent interrelation of the two. Her research also involved critical analysis of the existing legal frameworks, rules of Solid Waste Management prevalent in India as well as imploring the cardinal principles of a Circular Economy.

Do civilisations have an expiration date?
In the first episode we talk about the roots and characteristics of civilisations with Alexander Lazslo and Heeten. Alexander is the Director of Research at the Laszlo Institute of New Paradigm Research and Scientific Director at EARTHwise Centre. Heeten was born in Zimbabwe. Having recently completed a PhD, he has returned to offer creative, strategic and manual-labour support to organisations and communities regionally, with more verve and a newly-found humility.
